Tanka as Love Letters

While researching tanka (the poetic form) the other day, I discovered it’s sometimes used as a form of communication between people. I suggested the idea to a close friend of mine, and they were enthusiastic about exchanging ideas with me. Meanwhile, I now have a Substack account!
